Post-Flight Briefing
If satisfactory:
- I will Reaffirm outcome of the test with you
- I will Highlight above average performance
- I will Review areas of weakness -
- I will Provide guidance for improvement
- I will Offer to sign logbook (although not necessary, you were the PIC)
- I will Prepare Temporary Certificate (show conditions on reverse)
- I will remind you what to do if you do not receive your permanent Airman Certificate within 120 days (show some concern if 90 days has passed)
- You will review and sign Temporary Certificate
- I will promote FAASafety.gov / Provide WINGS credit for checkride pass
If unsatisfactory:
- I want you to remember, this is now a learning experience. A chance to improve your skills. Like a doctor's exam, if something needs attention, this is the time to remedy areas of weakness. It will make you a better pilot!
- I will Prepare Notice of Disapproval (You have 60 days to retest)
- I will Use the PTS to explain reasons for disapproval
- You can Schedule for retake (after remedial flight instruction and endorsement)
- I will Highlight your areas of above average performance
- I will Provide guidance for improvement
- I will Offer to sign your logbook (But as mentioned, you were the PIC, so it is not required.)
